Seven pages in Searching for God Knows What feature a symbol of a right-facing elephant behind the page number. Each page number corresponds to a letter of the alphabet, with the second-to-last page number being used twice. The eight letters create two words of four letters each.

In Chapter Two, Don says God is more like this than a formula. One of the headers contains a scrambled phrase. Unscramble it for the answer. (Hint: Arrange the scramble into columns and rows to find the answer.)

3

On the back cover of the book Searching for God Knows What is a swirl. In the swirl are 9 numbers. Decode the numbers for your answer.

4

In Chapter Three, Don frames the chapter by asking, "What Do We Really Want?" Eleven pages in the chapter have an intentionally bolded letter that create a word when correctly unscrambled.

5

In Chapter Four, small inside the page numbers, are a series of letters. Decode them to reveal a phrase. (Hint: Arrange the scramble into rows and columns to find the answer.)

6

In the book, look for these two symbol pairs [upward-facing/downward-facing half elephants] to find latitude/longitude coordinates. The [upward elephants] are coordinates with a decimal following. The [downward elephants] are the coordinates that follow the decimal. Enter the name of the place to be eligible for your prize. (Hints: Place the coordinates together in the order they appear. The first set is followed by "N"; the second set by "W.")

7

In Chapter Six, "Children of Chernobyl," Don talks about a passage of scripture he didn't understand and wrestled with. In the graphics that separate different passages, find one that reveals the book of the Bible in very small letters. On that page, three letters are bolded and will give you the passage when you decode them. Enter the book, chapter, and verse as the answer.

8

On the back cover, on the rods sticking out of the wheel, there are several numbers. Decode them for the answer.

9

In Chapter Eight, on the opening page of the chapter, in the headlines at the top of each page, and one letter within the chapter, letters have been changed into numbers. Decode the numbers and unscramble the word for the answer.

10

In Chapter Nine, several page numbers have been bolded. They spell a simple word, the word that captures so much of what we're looking for and what Jesus offers. Unscramble the word. (Hint: Two bolded numbers on the same page create a double-digit number.)

11

In Chapter Ten, several page numbers have been bolded. (On some pages, there are two bolded numbers-place them together as double digits in the order they appear.) Assemble the numbers and unscramble them into the correct phase. (Hint: 18 is used twice, and one double digit number that appears twice should have its number order swapped. The answer is blocked into words like this: _ _ / _ _ _ _ / _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _.)

For our final game, hidden on the back cover is a long series of barely visible numbers. Decode them for your answer, and enter it with no punctuation.
